Diamond Peak Starts Base Lodge Renovation on May 1st

Diamond Peak Starts Base Lodge Renovation on May 1st
Incline Village, NV- The IVGID Board of
Trustees recently approved the Diamond Peak base lodge
renovation at the April 9th board meeting in Incline Village, Nevada, a $4,031,031
project. The appraised Diamond Peak base lodge
renovation is set to start on May 1, 2008.
The $4,031,031 price of the renovation
includes three consulting contracts totaling $222,015, owner purchase items
totaling $120,000, $97,985 District Engineering Services, and a variance not to
exceed $429,000.
Phase One of the Diamond Peak base lodge
renovation will expand food and beverage services, rental equipment services,
and seating capacity inside and outside. Diamond Peak’s strategy with
this renovation is to offer more efficient service to their customers as well
as take advantage of the increased revenue opportunities that will come from
the expanded services.
Diamond Peak’s estimated
revenue through June 30, 2008 will be
approximately $6 million dollars with an estimated operating profit of
$800,000. Diamond Peak had a total of
127,668 skier visits during the 07/08 season.
Diamond Peak will finish phase
one of the base lodge renovation by the time it opens for the 08/09 season on December 11, 2008. Diamond Peak is excited for this
much-needed improvement and appreciates the community support. Diamond Peak’s closing date for
the 2007-08 ski season was April 13, 2008.
